Set to be held on 31 October at the HORIBA MIRA, UK, First Hydrogen’s track day will provide ground to test drive the company’s hydrogen-fuel-cell powered vehicles.
Attendees of the track day will include some of Europe’s and the UK’s largest companies, from utilities, leasing, supermarkets, parcel delivery, healthcare, and mining.
Participants will have access to the company’s FCEVs and the chance to drive them. The track day will include technical presentations and a vehicle walkaround highlighting under-the-hood technology.
The attendees will be able to discuss the practicalities of introducing the FCEV to their own fleets.
The global electric vehicle market was valued at $384.65bn in 2022 and is projected to grow from $500.48bn in 2023 to $579.10bn by 2030, according to Fortune Business Insights.
About First Hydrogen’s vehicles
First Hydrogen’s vehicles have achieved a range of over 630km. This is ahead of the 193km Worldwide harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure minimum range requirement of the zero-emission vehicle mandate. The company’s hydrogen vehicles are also ahead of the range requirements of equivalent battery electric vehicles.
The hydrogen powered vehicles have undergone road trials with fleet management company Rivus and SSE, an energy company. The company’s vehicles are currently undertaking operations with major parcel delivery companies.
Balraj Mann, CEO First Hydrogen, stated: “We are excited to showcase our zero emission FCEVs which have recently attained a range of more than 630km (400 miles) on a single refuelling. Our FCEVs are noted for ease of driving and efficient powertrain technology which allows our FCEV the ability to carry large payloads without compromising on the range in any weather conditions.
“With the UK Government’s recent recognition of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles within its definition of zero emissions vehicle, sales of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will be included in production targets for zero emission vehicles.”
