Vital Signs Solutions has successfully secured a grant from Innovate UK to enable the use of its digital COVID-19 platform, helping the British Government conduct large-scale antibody testing for COVID-19.
Based in Cambridge, Vital Signs Solutions is an early-stage, venture-backed start-up that is engaged in developing digital preventative healthcare solutions. The grant from Innovate UK is part of the British Government’s investment in innovative solutions to COVID-19 related problems. The newly developed digital COVID-19 platform by Vital Signs Solutions will allow for the rapid digitisation of COVID-19 test results.

Digitising COVID-19 solutions
The digital COVID-19 platform, named PocDoc, will digitise any COVID-19 antibody rapid test assay and embed it within an app available on either smartphone or tablet. According to Vital Signs Solutions, the app will have the ability to gather additional data for helping in track and analysing the spread of coronavirus and its effect on the presence of antibodies in the public.

A digital platform is critical to facilitate the scaling of antibody testing and we are confident our PocDoc platform can be adapted to solve this problem. In addition to Vital Signs Solutions’ work towards reducing the effects of COVID-19 crisis, Vital Signs Solutions is developing its own variety of physical blood tests that are integrated with the PocDoc digital platform. The results of the blood tests are immediately delivered through the PocDoc app, claimed the company.
