1844 Resources uses its world-leading exploration skills to hunt for critical and strategic metals in Quebec.
As part of the hunt for critical and strategic metals in Quebec, the company holds an existing Ni 43-101 on its main properties.
1844 Resources initially listed in 2012 with a main focus on grassroots exploration for copper in the Gaspé Peninsula in the southeast portion of the province of Quebec.
1844 Resources has a solid management team, board of directors, and advisory board and ranks sixth globally for its mining efforts.
1844 Resources holds numerous world-class mineral deposits
The company acquired two projects in the Peninsula: Vortex, a porphyry-based site which has a Ni 43-101 with 2.2m/t at 1.06% Cu and a discovery hole, and Native Copper, a stratiform system comprised of 325 claims with a lot of potential for exploration.
At the Gaspe Peninsula, The Gaspe Copper Mine was discovered by Osisko Metal and their leaders, Robert (Bob) Wares and Jeff Hussey. The mine produced 141,000,000 tonnes at 0.85% Cu from 1954-1999.
Recently, 1844 Resources announced an acquisition that will completely transform the company and is an added value for our shareholders.
The HawkRidge project comprises 411 claims over 179km² and a favourable area of 50km. The property is in the Labrador Trough, which is part of the Circum-Superior Belt. This project is more advanced than the others – it will significantly advance the hunt for critical and strategic metals in Quebec.
HawkRidge: Advancing the search for critical and strategic metals in Quebec
The HawkRidge site contains historical values of 34.66 MT Inferred Mineral Resources at 0.22% Ni, 0.56% Cu, 0.013% Co, 0.19 g/t Pd and 0.05 g/t Pt reported by P&E Consulting. P&E Consulting reported the following additional targets:
- A target of 35mt to 60mt grading 0.35% to 0.40% Cu;
- 10% to 0.20% Ni;
- 01% to 0.02% Co;
- 03 g/t to 0.05 g/t Pt;
- 15 g/t to 0.20 g/t Pd; and
- 03 g/t to 0.05 g/t Au.
To propel the search for critical and strategic metals in Quebec, 1844 Resources intends to finalise the first part of the transaction by the end of summer and execute its five-year budget plan.
Firstly, by infill and out fill drilling and channelling, the company intends to increase and move part of the resource from inferred to indicated and measured on the already known zones: Falco7, Hope Advance Main, North, and the Gamma zone.
During this period, 1844 Resources will carry out environmental, metallurgical, and hydrogeology studies to continue building good relationships with the Inuit community.
